Tenant and Landlord Issues

Peter has been representing tenants for over 25 years. He also represents landlords, including both small “mom and pop” landlords and a major corporate property management company.

The residential landlord and tenant laws require both landlords and tenants to follow specific procedures. These procedures can be complicated, and failure to follow them correctly can result in expensive problems. It is a good idea to seek legal advice so that you understand and protect your rights.

Tenants and landlords can find information on the Washington rental laws at Washington Law Help (click on the “Housing” tab). Oregon landlords and tenants can find help at the Oregon Bar Association Tel-law page.

Did you know that it is illegal to discriminate against a person in a rental because of having children or because of a disability or marital status, and of course because of sex or race? Peter also handles housing discrimination matters.

Peter will give you fair and honest advice and help you protect yourself and avoid larger problems. Please call us if you would like to set up an appointment for a consultation or for help with your rental situation.
